Terms & Conditions

Important: These Terms are for clarity and consistency. They are not legal advice. By booking a class, trial, or subscription, you agree to the Terms below.

1) Services

Weekly online group classes (1 hour) for IGCSE English (Literature and/or Language) delivered via Zoom.

Group size capped at 5.

Included resources: worksheets, model responses, vocabulary banks, and compiled class notes.

2) Enrolment & Trials

One paid trial per student at the standard class rate.

After the trial, you may opt in to a monthly subscription via the email link provided.

Mid-month starts are allowed; initial charges are pro-rated.

3) Payments & Billing

Monthly subscription: Auto-renews on the same calendar date each month as your sign-up.

Annual plan: Saves £40 vs monthly. Refundable within 7 days of purchase; non-refundable thereafter.

Payments are processed by a secure provider (e.g., Stripe). Fees are included in the class price.

Failed payments

If a charge fails, the system will retry within 48 hours and you’ll be notified to update card details.

If unpaid after 72 hours, student access is paused.

If unpaid after 7 days, the seat may be released to the waitlist.

4) Cancellations & Refunds

Monthly plan: Cancel at least 3 days before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. No refunds once a renewal has been processed.

Annual plan: 7-day cooling-off (refund in full if unused within 7 days); thereafter no refunds.

Missed classes: Not refunded and cannot be carried over to the next month. Class notes and materials will be provided.

Trial class: Cancel or re-schedule with 24 hours’ notice (one re-schedule permitted). Missed trials without notice are non-refundable.

5) Scheduling & Rescheduling

If I must cancel for any reason, I will re-schedule or credit the class.

There is no pause function on subscriptions. You may cancel and re-enrol (subject to space).

6) Conduct & Safeguarding

A respectful, inclusive classroom is essential. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may lead to removal without refund.

Students should join on time, with a recognisable display name. Cameras on is encouraged when possible.

Classes may be recorded for note-taking only; recordings are not shared and are accessible only to me. If you require an accommodation, please email.

7) Technology

Parents/guardians are responsible for the student’s device, internet, and Zoom access.

If a student experiences tech issues, class notes and materials will be provided, but the class is not refundable.

If a platform outage or tutor issue prevents delivery, I will re-schedule or credit the session.

8) Intellectual Property

All materials (worksheets, models, notes) are for personal student use only. Do not copy, share, or distribute without written permission.

9) Data & Privacy

I process minimal personal data (student name, parent contact, year group, payment details via processor).

Session recordings are used only to create notes and are not shared. I do not sell personal data. For privacy queries or deletion requests, please email.

By signing up for a subscription or trial, you consent to lessons being recorded for the sole purpose of improving learning and providing accurate lesson notes. These recordings are accessible only to the tutor and will be converted into concise transcripts and key notes, which may be shared with students as learning resources. Student privacy will be fully protected at all times, and lesson recordings will not be shared with, or accessed by, any third party.

10) Health & Accessibility

Please inform me of any learning, accessibility, or health needs so I can make reasonable adjustments.

11) Liability

While I take great care in lesson design and delivery, I cannot guarantee specific grades. Student outcomes depend on effort, attendance, and assessment conditions.

12) Force Majeure

I am not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond my reasonable control (e.g., major platform outages, power failures). Affected sessions will be re-scheduled or credited.

13) Changes to Terms

I may update these Terms to reflect operational or legal changes. The current version will always be available on the booking page. Continued bookings constitute acceptance.
